Dyson Introduces Bladeless Fan

This is a new product of Dyson, the world's first bladeless desktop fan that can produce an interrupted stream of smooth air without any buffeting. This device is safe because there is no blade. There are two size options. The price of the 10" model is $299.99 and the 12" is $329.99. Do I really need to get rid of my old $35.00 conventional fan now and replace it with this nice-looking desktop fan? I think it is still a bit expensive.
