iRun - the “World’s Most Advanced Mobile Social Media Studio”

Joseph Tame shows off the the iRun - “World’s Most Advanced Mobile Social Media Studio” he will be wearing as he runs in the 2011 Tokyo Marathon.

The iRun features four iPhones on rotatable mounts, an iPad, and Android handset, three mobile Wi-Fi routers, a four-in-one atmospheric monitor and a heart monitor – all to record his route round the 26-mile circuit.

A post on Tame’s website states: ‘This technology will allow me to broadcast live video on two cameras (using either skype or FaceTime to a local studio for re-broadcast), send live location/pace/heart rate data via Runkeeperon the iPhone, transmit temperature, COx/humidity/noise levels via a custom-made Android app – and do all of this while looking incredibly cool.’

Electronic Spy Camera Shirt

Spy Camera Shirt
The latest new item from ThinkGeek is called the Electronic Spy Camera Shirt. The shirt has graphics on it that remind me of an old Bond movie poster. Rather than holding a small Walther PPK, the Bond-esq figure on the shirt has a camera. Look closely and you will see that the camera is actually a real camera lens and the shirt has a remote control that runs down to the wearer’s hand. The shirt wearing geek can push the shutter button to take the photo they want and the remote vibrates to show it has taken the pic. The camera has storage for about 1000 photos in 640 x 480 resolution. The camera runs on three AAA batteries and connects via USB to a computer for download.

Zoom Q3HD Handy 1080p Video Recorder with Stereo Microphones

This company is called Samson (Samson Wireless) - not Samsung. They have just released a new little camcorder, the Zoom  Q3HD Handy Video Recorder. This little guy, in addition to boasting 1080p capabilities (at 30 frames per second) and 720p at 60 frames per second, the cam boasts 4x digital zoom, a 2.4-inch color LCD, NTSC/PAL TV and HDMI outputs, and USB 2.0. Most interestingly, of course, the Q3HD Handy has built-in stereo microphones, so the camera should provide much better audio than your standard affair. There's no word on availability or pricing yet.
