In the last two days there have been rumors that a new Canon DSLR EOS 60D will come soon, it was said that the name appeared on DxO website. After checking and re-checking the long list of DxO website, it seems that they only mentioned the optic modules of the already existing DSLR models and there was nothing about EOS 60D (only EOS 50D, EOS 7D, Rebel Series and EOS Pro Series).

Let's keep waiting for now.

MasterPad Windows 7 Tablet

This is another tablet to choose other than iPad, but it is still in protoype stage. This 14mm-thin tablet built by Pegatron use the Window 7 tablet operating system. It has an 11.6-inch IPS screen with 1,366 x 768 wide-screen resolution, a 1.3 megapixel webcam plus mic, 2 USB ports, a memory card reader, an accelerometer, mini-HDMI port, 3G connectivity, and 32GB or 64GB SSD options. 

Its magnesium and aluminum alloy body weighs less than a kg. An Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor will will be used, coupled with a HD video-processing chip. Let's hope that it really comes with HD graphic chip so that the gaming experience will be more interesting, and also come with other colors; white or blue.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Announced

Research in Motion with AT&T officially announced its new BlackBerry 9800 or BlackBerry Torch. This new phone will be available for sale starting 12 August 2010 at AT&T (USA). The price is $199.99 with 2-year service contract.

This phone major features include a 5 megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g/n), new operating system BlackBerry 6 with an all-new browsing experience and a host of other features that makes RIM stay competitive with its competitors, 4GB of internal memory plus a 4GB microSD card in the box (supports up to 32 GB microSD/SDHD card), 512MB each of ROM and RAM, Tri-band HSDPA (3G) and quad-band EDGE, a 480 x 360 touchscreen 3.2 inches display - same resolution as the BlackBery Bold 9700 (it would have been better if the screen has higher resolution of at least 800x480), the typical optical trackpad, built-in GPS for location-based applications and geo-tagging, 35 key full QWERTY backlit slide-out keyboard (on a portrait slide), designed to feel optimally balanced when opened for typing, Bluetooth® (2.1), removable-rechargeable 1300 mAhr battery that provides approximately 5.8 hours of talk time on 3G networks or 30 hours of audio playback or 6 hours of video playback and an interesting new Media Sync feature that enable you sync your media library right over WiFi.

BlackPad, Tablet Device from RIM

The producer of Blackberry smartphone is rumoured to be working on a new gadget that will likely be called BlackPad.

This device, according to some sources, will be launched in November this year. Users will be able to connect their BlackPad to the internet using the wireless connection of their mobile phone, rather than having to pay separately for 3G network access as users of the iPad must. It will also have a 9.7-inch display- touchscreen of course, inbuilt WiFi, Bluetooth and front and back-facing cameras for videoconferencing.

Other manufactures that also plan to introduce similar tablet device are Google with its Android software, Samsung with its Galaxy and LG with optimus brand.
