There Won't Be Any 7-inch iPad from Apple

After some rumors about the next iPad, finally Steve Jobs said that there won't be any 7-inch iPad.

Quoting Jobs:
This size isn't sufficient to create great tablet apps, in our opinion. While one could increase the resolution of the display to make up for some of the difference, it is meaningless unless your tablet also includes sandpaper, so that the user can sand down their fingers to around one quarter of their present size."

He said that Apple thinks that the 10-inch screen of the current iPad model is the minimum. That you cannot make a great tablet with a seven-inch screen because it cannot express the software.

The High Contrast Keyboard

If you are bored with the ordinary-looking keyboard, now try this one. This is the easy-to-read keyboard with high-contrast keys and enlarged print. The bright yellow keys are labeled in black, san serif type, the same high-visibility color scheme used for highway warning signs. The 43-point characters (about 9/16" tall) are heat transferred to the keys, after which a UV coating is applied for lasting durability. The 103-key layout is the same as that on a standard keyboard, with 12 function keys along the top row, plus nine buttons for common multimedia and browser commands. The USB keyboard is rated for 10 million keystrokes, ensuring years of trouble-free typing. Flip-up legs angle the keyboard for comfortable typing. For Windows 7, Vista, and XP. 1" H x 17 1/2" W x 6 3/4" D. (1 1/2 lbs.) The price is $49.95, available at  Hammacher Schlemmer.

Is Apple's Next-Generation MacBook Air Coming Next Week?

There are some alleged details about what Apple will announce sooon (this Wednesday?).

It seems that Apple will launch a new 13.3-inch MacBook Air and 11.6-inch MacBook Air. AppleInsider.com got a tip that a 11.6-inch MacBook Air will be coming with details as follows:
  • The 11.6-inch MacBook Air won't replace the 13.3-inch model, but will instead complement it as a more aggressively-priced option
  • Both the new 11.6- and 13.3-inch models sport matching outfits in the form of new, all-unibody designs and single button trackpads
  • The port door found on the existing MacBook Air is gone from the new designs, which feature a port layout similar to the existing MacBook Pros
  • The new "SSD card" storage is based off an SATA connection
  • The base component of both models is just slightly thicker than a standard USB port at its thickest point
Engadget has showed a prototype (from back in April) of the new 13.3-inch MacBook Air and is architecturally very close to what Apple plans to release next week alongside the new 11.6-inch model.

Metal Cover to Protect Your iPhone 4 Without the Bulk of a Case

Because the back cover of the new iPhone 4 is fragile, if you are worry that you will break it by accident now you can replace it with a $12.99 metal cover.

What you need to do is unscrewing and take the original back cover and and replace it with this metal replacement cover. Maybe you shouldn't drop your iPhone on purpose after that. I won't do that.
