Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1- inch Display |
After having Samsung Galaxy Tab with 7-inch display on the market since last year, now Samsung launch a wider brother of this tablet: Galaxy Tab 10.1-inch Display
Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2011 comes with a 10.1-inch LCD screen (1280x800 pixels resolution), it's powered by a 1Ghz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, will be available with 16GB or 32GB of storage, and features Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, like the Motorola Xoom which was announced at the beginning of the year at CES. The size of the tablet is 9.6 inches x 6.6 inches x 0.4 inches and weighs 1.3 pounds according to a company statement (lighter than the Motorola Xoom), which also has 10.1-inch screen.
Like the new Galaxy S II smartphones, also unveiled at MWC 2011, the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 will feature both a front- and rear-facing camera. The rear camera has an 8-megapixel resolution with LED flash while the front camera is capable of 2-megapixel resolution.
Users who want to watch streaming video on their tablet can access the Internet using Wi-Fi (802.11a, b, g and n) or HSPA+ (High-Speed Packet Access) at up to 21M bps (bits per second). For users to take full advantage of that speed, their mobile operator may first have to upgrade their network.
The device will start shipping in some markets, including Sweden, in June. No pricing yet.
